What It Is
Neutral Ground's School Site Programs place trained staff directly on school campuses to provide daily support to students and school communities.
Services include mentorship, conflict mediation, restorative practices, behavioral intervention, and case management. Staff work closely with school administrators, counselors, and teachers to identify students who need additional support and to respond to incidents in real time.
The presence of Neutral Ground staff allows schools to address challenges proactively rather than reactively. Students receive consistent support from trusted adults who are not solely disciplinary figures, which increases engagement and reduces escalation.
These programs help schools move beyond punitive models and toward approaches that prioritize accountability, relationship-building, and long-term student success.
Who It Serves
Students and school communities across 19 sites in six districts.
What Support Looks Like
Neutral Ground staff are embedded on campus and available daily. They provide one-on-one mentorship, facilitate restorative circles after conflict, mediate disputes between students, support behavioral interventions, and coordinate case management for students facing layered challenges. Staff also partner with school administrators, counselors, and teachers to build school-wide culture that centers accountability and care.
